Jury: Die Jury setzt sich zusammen aus Künstlern, einem Kunsthistoriker, Aufsichtsrat und Geschäftsführung der KiC. Über das Ergebnis der Jurierung wird bis Ende März 2010 schriftlich Bescheid gegeben.

Anlieferung und Sonstiges: Von der Jury ausgewählte Arbeiten sollten am 07. und 08. Mai 2010 (frühere Termine nach Absprache möglich) bei der Carlshütte, Vorwerksallee, 24782 Büdelsdorf, angeliefert werden. Alle eingereichten Arbeiten sind im Zeitraum zwischen Anlieferung und Abholung im Rahmen der allgemeinen Versicherungsbedingungen versichert. Die Transportkosten werden vom Künstler getragen. Gerne sind wir behilflich bei der Organisation von Gemeinschaftstransporten. In Einzelfällen ist eine Transportkostenunterstützung möglich.

Katalog: Zur Ausstellung erscheint ein Katalog in Din A4 Format – eine Seite pro Künstler. Die digitalen Fotos und Texte von teilnehmenden Künstlern und Künstlerinnen werden mit der Jury-Antwort angefordert. Die Künstler erhalten ein Freiexemplar des Kataloges.

KiC-Symposium: Im Vorwege der Nord Art wird im Mai 2010 ein Symposium ausgerichtet, zu dem wir ca. 10 Künstler/Künstlerinnen einladen werden. In der Zeit werden großformatige Werke für die Nord Art hergestellt. Bei Teilnahmewunsch bitte auf dem Bewerbungsbogen „Symposium“ ankreuzen. Zudem benötigen wir Angaben über Material und Maße, geschätzten Zeitaufwand, Fotos mit Arbeitsbeispielen, eventuell eine Skizze. Für die Teilnehmer/-innen bieten wir Materialien, Arbeitsplatz und Unterkunft direkt auf dem Ausstellungsgelände. Die entstandenen Arbeiten bleiben Eigentum des Künstlers und werden mindestens 2 Jahre auf der Nord Art gezeigt. Ausgenommen sind die Fälle, in denen die Arbeiten verkauft werden.

Invitation for applications to participate at the international exhibition NORD ART 2010 (12.06.–03.10.2010)

KiC – Kunst in der Carlshütte, a non-profit initiative of the ACO Group, and the towns of Büdelsdorf and Rendsburg, organises an annual international exhibition of visual arts from June to the end of September. The art exhibited at Nord Art is selected by a jury and features all visual art media. The exhibition in summer 2009 displayed the work of 218 artists from 34 countries, selected from above 1000 applications.

Exhibition area: The old foundry building in the Carlshütte (20,000 m²), ACO Wagenremise (400 m²), ACO Gartenhaus (100 m²), a 60,000 square metre sculpture park, as well as public spaces in the towns of Büdelsdorf and Rendsburg.

Application documents: A folder (Din A4) with the following documents:

1. Application form (can be downloaded from here or sent by post upon request by sending us a stamped and addressed envelope (Euro 0.55 stamp)

2. Artist’s CV (short version)

3. List of the most important solo and group exhibitions

4. Photos of approx. 10 works which could be shown at Nord Art. Please label all the photos with the title, year of origin, technique, and size.

Please do not send any digital information or originals. Exception: DVD’s of video installations and performances.

Optional documents: own catalogues and press cuttings

5. If you wish your application documents to be returned, please supply a properly stamped and addressed envelope (if the address is outside Germany, please supply an adequate amount of ”coupon-réponse international”).

Jury: The jury is made up of artists, an art historian, and the supervisory board and management of KiC. The jury will send out its decision in writing by the end of March 2010.

Delivery and other information: The works selected by the jury must be delivered to the Carlshütte, Vorwerksallee, 24782 Büdelsdorf, Germany, on 7 or 8 May 2009 (early delivery possible with the prior approval of the organisers). All of the delivered works will be insured subject to the general insurance conditions from the time of delivery to the time of collection. Transport costs are covered by the artist. We will be happy to help organise shared transport arrangements.

Opening ceremony and general opening times: Opening: Saturday 12 June 2010, 5 pm, Opening times: to 03.10.2010, Weds to Sun 11 am - 7 pm

Catalogue: A catalogue in DIN A4 format is produced for the exhibition with one page per artist. The digital photos and text on each of the participating artists is requested when the jury’s decision is sent out. The artists receive a free copy of the catalogue.

KiC Symposium: A symposium will be held in May 2010 in the run up to Nord Art. Approximately 10 artists are invited to attend the symposium. Large works for Nord Art are produced at the symposium. If you wish to attend the symposium, please mark the “Symposium” box in the application form. We also require details on the materials and dimensions, estimated time required, photos with examples of works, and a sketch where possible. The participants at the symposium enjoy free materials, a workplace, and accommodation at the exhibition site itself. The work created remains the property of the artist and will be exhibited at Nord Art for at least 2 years – with the exception of works which are sold.
